Supercars has announced a 28-car entry list for next month’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour including 22 GT3 cars and eight entries in the headlining Pro category.

The event at Mount Panorama Circuit on Feb. 3-5 marks the opening round of SRO Motorsports Group’s Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli season.

Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche are represented in the top class, while German manufacturers dominate the GT3 grid which also includes Pro-Am and Silver categories.

The Pro division is returning to the Bathurst 12H after Pro-Am was elevated to the highest class for last year’s rescheduled race

As previously announced, former Audi squad and 2018 event winner Team WRT will return to Mount Panorama with a pair of factory-supported BMW M4 GT3s, signifying the car’s first appearance at the Australian sports car enduro.

Reigning IGTC champion Mercedes-AMG is the best-represented brand in Pro with four entries including one for defending Bathurst 12H winner SunEnergy1 Racing.

Craft-Bamboo Racing, GruppeM Racing and Supercheap Auto Racing will also field Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evos.

The Pro contingent is completed by a single Melbourne Performance Centre Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II and one Type-991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 R for Manthey EMA.

Pro-Am also contains eight entries split between the same GT3 manufacturers.

Makita Volante Rosso Motorsport, Triple Eight Race Engineering and Scott Taylor Motorsport will each run a Pro-Am Mercedes-AMG, going up against EBM Giga Racing’s two-car Porsche stable and Audis from MPC, Hallmarc and Schumacher Motorsport.

The 22-car GT3 entry is completed by six Silver class contenders, including Mercedes-AMGs for Harrolds Volante Rosso Motorsport and Valmont Racing, a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo for Wall Racing and three Audis for MPC.

Further grid variety is provided by the six-car Invitational category featuring cars built to different regulations.

UpTo 11 Motorsport is registered with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, while Nineteen Corporation is bringing a Mercedes-AMG GT4.

Additionally, MMotorsport/Vantage Racing is back with its KTM X-Bow GT2 after contesting the race last year.

There is also a Sin R1 from the Daytona Sports Cars operation, plus two entries from MARC Cars Australia which has entered Bathurst 12H for several years.
