Manthey EMA has confirmed its lineup for next month’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour with three factory drivers set to pilot a ‘grello’-liveried Porsche 911 GT3 R.

IMSA GTD champions Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet will team up with DTM race winner Thomas Preining for the Pro-class entry, which is a partnership between experienced German Porsche squad Manthey and Australian team EMA Motorsport.

Manthey previously supported Melbourne-based EMA’s entry into last year’s 24 Hours of Spa where Campbell and Jaminet shared the wheel with Felipe Nasr.

Australian ace Campbell delivered Porsche’s first Bathurst 12H overall victory in 2019 with a famous closing stint driving for Earl Bamber Motorsport.

The 27-year-old’s most recent appearance in the Australian GT endurance classic occurred in 2020 when he, Jaminet and Patrick Pilet finished fourth for Absolute Racing.

Jaminet has raced at Mount Panorama Circuit twice previously, while Preining is set for his second appearance at the 3.86-mile venue.

Campbell and Jaminet will reunite for Bathurst one week after contesting the Rolex 24 at Daytona in separate Porsche Penske Motorsport GTP entries.

Manthey EMA’s Bathurst venture will utilize the soon-to-retire Type-991.2 Porsche 911 GT3 R, which is being replaced by the new Type-992 model this year.

The No. 912 car’s distinctive ‘Grello’ paint scheme for the Feb. 3-5 event has been popularized through Manthey’s successful entries into the Nürburgring 24.

Bathurst marks the opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli season, while Manthey EMA has stated that it will confirm the rest of its 2023 plans “in the coming weeks.”
