Last year’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour pole-sitter Chaz Mostert will return to the event next weekend as part of Melbourne Performance Centre’s No. 65 Audi lineup.

The Australian Supercars star will again team up with Liam Talbot and Fraser Ross, sharing an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II in the Silver class.

The 30-year-old Australian defeated Audi Sport factory driver Kelvin van der Linde in qualifying to take last year’s Allan Simonsen Pole Award, however the No. 65 Audi retired from the race due to accident damage.

Mostert is the headline addition to the final entry list for the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli season-opener, which features a total of 26 cars including eight participants in the top Pro division.

Two Porsches have dropped off the entry list since a provisional version was published two weeks ago.

One of them is an Earl Bamber Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R that was due to compete in Pro-Am, although the team will still be present through its support of Grove Racing’s entry.

The other absentee is a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup from UpTo 11 MotorSport that was originally entered into the Invitational class.

Another update is the addition of former Porsche Carrera Cup Australia driver Josh Hunt to the Silver-class No. 101 Harrolds Volante Rosso Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo alongside Ross Poulakis, Jonathan Hui and last year’s overall runner-up Kevin Tse.

The other lineups have already been announced, including the eight crews racing for outright honors in Pro where factory drivers from Audi Sport, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche and BMW are involved.

Of note, the BMW M4 GT3 is making its Bathurst 12H debut with Team WRT, while Mercedes-AMG is kicking off its IGTC manufacturers’ title defense at a race that it won last season.
