IMSA, WEC, F1, IndyCar Events Make Up 2027 Schedule

McLaren Trophy America will race on IMSA, WEC, Formula 1 and IndyCar weekends next year, as part of its new-look calendar for the 2027 season.

Released on Friday, Trophy America, which switches to become IMSA-sanctioned in 2027, will feature one of the most varied schedules for a single-make series in North America.

The five-event, ten-race season will kick off in early April at Barber Motorsports Park, on the NTT IndyCar Series weekend, before returning to Miami as part of the Formula 1 package at the Miami Grand Prix, which is anticipated for early May.

Next up will be Watkins Glen International, supporting the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen on June 24-26, followed by a return to Virginia International Raceway, but on the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Michelin GT Challenge weekend.

The season will then close out at Circuit of The Americas, supporting the FIA World Endurance Championship Lone Star Le Mans event in mid-September, alongside another IMSA-sanctioned single-make series, Mustang Challenge North America.

“Returning to the Formula 1 weekend in Miami is undoubtedly one of the highlights, and we are equally excited to open the season alongside IndyCar at Barber and conclude it with the FIA World Endurance Championship at Circuit of The Americas.

“Our new partnership with IMSA is another hugely important step for the championship.

“The 2027 calendar offers exactly the kind of experience McLaren Trophy America was created to deliver.”

Two events remain on this year’s McLaren Trophy calendar, under SRO America leadership, including this weekend’s event at Road America and a triple-header to end the season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October.

April 2-4 — Barber Motorsports Park (IndyCar)
TBD — Miami International Autodrome (Formula 1)
June 24-26 — Watkins Glen International (IMSA)
Aug. 20-22 — Virginia International Raceway (IMSA)
Sept. 10-12 — Circuit of The Americas (WEC)
