Michael Cooper and Jason Bell will make their first Pirelli GT4 America starts of the season as part of an expanded 42-car entry for this weekend’s races at Circuit of The Americas.

The duo will team up in a Pro-Am class-entered Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for Rounds 5 and 6 at the Austin Formula 1 venue.

Bell started the year focused exclusively on GT America powered by AWS and is coached by multi-time SRO America champion Cooper, who is set for his GT4 America return after several years away.

The No. 2 Aston Martin is one of three additions to the grid since the last event at NOLA Motorsports Park.

Jay Logan and Alec Udell will team up in a GMG Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, while Rotek Racing will enter a Porsche for Anderson Tanoto and Jaden Conwright, also in Pro-Am.

Jon Miller, meanwhile, will return to the wheel of the No. 88 STR38 BMW M4 GT4, subbing for Harry Gottsacker, who is taking part in the Nürburgring 24.

Michai Stephens and Jesse Webb enter the weekend leading the Silver class points standings in their Conquest Racing/JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4, despite being classified second in the one-and-only race run at NOLA.

It came in a photo finish with the Auto Technic Racing BMW of John Capestro Dubets and Zac Anderson, which was declared the winners despite timing and scoring initially indicating otherwise.

Ross Chouest and Aaron Povoledo lead the way in the Pro-Am championship in their Aston Martin, with Terry Borcheller and Nicholas Shanny out front in the Am title race despite a challenging race in New Orleans.

Track activity begins on Thursday with two test session, while official practice will kick off action on Friday ahead of qualifying and the pair of 60-minute races on Saturday and Sunday, both of which will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
