Matt Dalton and Mark Pombo have been transported to hospitals following separate accidents in Saturday’s SRO America races at Virginia International Raceway.

Dalton suffered a heavy crash at the wheel of the No. 00 Notlad by RS1 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the first GT America powered by AWS race of the weekend, which ultimately brought the race to an early end.

Pombo, meanwhile, survived a wild airborne ride (pictured above) in his No. 60 MINI JCW in the TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School race, which also ended early due to the incident.

Statements from SRO America confirm that both drivers were “alert and conscious” and transported to hospitals for further evaluation.

It’s understood Pombo’s trip to the hospital has been dictated by SRO Motorsports Group’s concussion protocol.

The cause of both accidents are unclear at this time.
