Bell Tops Second Practice at Indianapolis

Jaxon Bell rose to the top of the time charts in the second and final Toyota GR Cup North America practice session prior to qualifying for this weekend’s pair of season-ending races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Bell, who is looking to consolidate his runner-up position in the single-make series, reeled off a chart-topping 1:39.142 in his No. 7 Copeland Motorsports Toyota GR86 Cup to edge out Thursday’s pace setter Spike Kohlbecker by 0.051 seconds.

Westin Workman, who clinched the championship last time out at Barber Motorsports Park, was third on the time chart in his BSI Racing Toyota, followed by Ethan Goulart and Lucas Weisenberg, who completed the top-five.

The 30-minute session ran without any major incidents or red flags.

Qualifying for Race 1 of the weekend is set for 12:35 p.m. EST.
