Keelan Harvick said he’s hopeful of being invited back for future Toyota GR Cup North America races, with the 14-year-old prospect making his series debut this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The son of 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick, Keelan has paved his own path in grassroots stock car racing and currently sits second in the CARS Tour West Super Late Model championship standings.

The young Harvick has also made starts in the ASA STARS National Tour and made his first appearance at Virginia International Raceway in road-racing series Trans Am’s TA2 division.

He has competed in those events with his father’s Kevin Harvick Inc. program, as well as Rackley W.A.R., driving the No. 62 Toyota Camry.

His early resume stands out among his stock car counterparts. In 2025, he recorded seven Pro Late Model race wins and became the youngest winner of the Snowflake 125 at Five Flags Speedway, the precursor race to the annual Snowball Derby.

For his two rounds at the The Brickyard, Harvick is aligned with RAFA Racing Team for his sports car debut, a team run by former NASCAR driver Kevin Conway.

Harvick said he’s eager to take on the new challenge, stepping into a lower-horsepower machine with the No. 812 Toyota GR 86 Cup car.

“I’m really excited,” Harvick told Sportscar365. “Just everybody around here has been super, super helpful to me because I’m normally used to racing high horsepower cars and it’s just a lot different racing these lower horsepower cars is really a challenge to me.

“Just to try and keep up the momentum and just be smooth around the whole corner. I’m really excited to see how this weekend goes.”

One of RAFA’s drivers who has helped guide Harvick through his initial step into sports car racing is reigning GR Cup champion Westin Workman.

Workman graduated to Pirelli GT4 America this year with Tyler Gonzalez in the No. 68 Toyota Supra GT4 EVO2. However, he’s remained a valuable resource for his fellow Toyota Racing Development driver.

“He’s been at every one of my tests,” Harvick said. “He’s helped me with the simulator stuff. It’s really been a big part of helping me throughout this week and it’s just really grateful to have someone like him.”

Ahead of his first races in the series, Harvick made a strong initial impression, placing fourth in Practice 1 among in a field featuring a significant number of experienced drivers.

While Harvick’s continued efforts remain focused on stock car racing, with a part-time ARCA Menards Series campaign rumored to be in the works for next season, the Toyota driver hopes to find a path back into the brand’s single-make series in the future and make the most of his two opportunities this weekend.

“I hope they invite me back,” Harvick stated when asked about making future starts in the series. “I’m just trying to do the best I can and have a lot of fun.”
