Kohlbecker Tops Practice 2 at The Brickyard

Championship leader Spike Kohlbecker continued his strong pace into Friday morning’s Practice 2 for Toyota GR Cup North America, setting the fastest time of 1:39.421 piloting his No. 15 TechSport Racing Toyota GR 86 Cup car at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Will Robusto finished second in his No. 2 RVA Graphics Motorsports by Speed Syndicate entry behind Kohlbecker with a 1:39.495, while championship suitor Jeremy Fletcher’s 1:39.495 placed third-best in the session aboard his No. 22 Copeland Motorsports machine.

Michael Edwards led the early minutes of the running, but fell down to fourth by the conclusion of the 30-minute tune-up with a 1:39.566 aboard his No. 21 Eagles Canyon w/ Fast Track effort.

Max Schweid rounded out the top five with his 1:39.738 lap time driving the No. 98 prepared by RVA Graphics Motorsports.

Additionally, Livio Galanti maintained the top times among the six Legend drivers, posting a 1:40.488 in the No. 89 for Dream Machine @ Eagles Canyon.

The session encountered a singular red-flag stoppage involving Liam Harrison in the No. 55 car for Blackdog Racing. The incident resulted in Harrison losing his two fastest laps set during the practice.

Qualifying 1 is scheduled for 12:35 p.m. EST, followed by Race 1 on Saturday at 9 a.m. EST. All races will be streamed live on GRCup.com and SRO’s GT World YouTube channels.
