BimmerWorld has confirmed its return to Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS competition with a BMW M4 GT3 for Bill Auberlen and Chandler Hull.

The pairing, who finished third in the Pro-Am class championship last year, are set to step up to the Pro category with their No. 94 BMW.

It marks Auberlen and Hull’s second full-season program that comes in addition to their IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class effort with fellow BMW squad Turner Motorsport.

“Bill and Chandler are fantastic in the GT3 platform, and we are excited to see the true potential of this car in 2023 after an inaugural season where BMW often struggled with the balance of performance,” BimmerWorld team owner James Clay said.

The team has also announced a two-car Pirelli GT4 America program with brand-new Type-G82 BMW M4 GT4s, with Clay and Charlie Postins returning as co-drivers of the No. 36 entry and James Walker Jr. to share the No. 82 BMW with Tyler McQuarrie.

Clay and Postins claimed the Am class championship with seven wins out of 14 races last year.

“After the success of last year it just made sense to do it all over again with Charlie,” said Clay. “New car with new challenges, but same teammates and the same goal of a championship in 2023.

“After five successful years racing the F82 M4 platform the team is eager to get the new G82 on track and get to work.”

Walker Jr., meanwhile, will return for his fourth season with BimmerWorld, with McQuarrie a new addition to the team.

“I’ve raced against Tyler for multiple years and worked with him extremely effectively in our Lifeline business for the last year and change,” Clay said.

“James Walker is back for his fourth year with BimmerWorld, and I think this should prove to be a strong pairing and a championship contender.”
