Christensen Quickest in Final Practice

Alegra Motorsports Porsche tops final practice at Long Beach…

Michael Christensen topped the time charts in final practice for Pirelli World Challenge competitors ahead of qualifying for Sunday’s Sprint round.

The Porsche factory driver recorded a best lap of 1:19.193 in his No. 24 Alegra Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, outpacing the No. 61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 488 GT3 of Toni Vilander by 0.155 seconds.

A late session improvement by Daniel Morad put the No. 2 CRP Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 third on the time sheets, ahead of Friday’s pacesetter Daniel Mancinelli in the No. 31 TR3 Racing Ferrari, who was fourth.

Overall championship leader Scott Hargrove completed the top-five overall.

Martin Fuentes was the quickest GTA competitor while Spencer Pumpelly led the way in the GTS Invitational class, with the TRG Porsche driver bumping Harry Gottsacker from the top of the time charts in the closing seconds.

No major incidents were reported in the 20-minute session.

Qualifying is set to get underway at 9:20 a.m. PT.
