Mikael Grenier and Michai Stephens combined to claim pole for this afternoon’s GT World Challenge America powered by AWS round at Circuit of The Americas.

The JMF Motorsports duo combined for a best average of 2:04.360 in their Pro class points-leading Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, edging out the No. 16 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo of Frederik Schandorff and Matias Perez Companc by a significant 0.507 seconds.

The No. 29 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 EVO will start third, thanks to a late flyer by Robby Foley in Q2, which demoted the No. 6 Dollahite Racing Ford Mustang GT3 EVO of Alex Sedgwick and Cameron Lawrence to fourth.

McCann Racing’s Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo will start fifth, meanwhile, with all five Pro class cars in the overall top-five.

JMF scored a double pole, with Lorcan Hanafin and Jason Daskalos taking their No. 27 Mercedes-AMG to top qualifying honors in Pro-Am, ahead of the Sonoma class-winning No. 32 GMG Racing Porsche that was second.

The No. 28 RS1 Porsche qualified third in class, while Am pole honors went to the No. 163 AF Corse Ferrari.

The start of the session was delayed by several minutes due to a dog on track, while Q2 was red-flagged with six minutes to go, when the dog ventured back onto the circuit.

The session resumed with less than three minutes remaining, which allowed one flying lap for competitors, which saw several improvements, most notably for Foley.

The three-hour feature race is set to get underway at 12:30 p.m. CST with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.

RESULTS: Qualifying (Combined)
