Sportscar365 is asking drivers from around the world what they’re doing during the COVID-19 pandemic and how they’re coping with the racing downtime.

This edition features Racers Edge Motorsports driver Shelby Blackstock (Twitter/Instagram) who currently leads the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS championship alongside Trent Hindman in the team’s Acura NSX GT3 Evo.

Where are you sitting out the COVID-19 crisis?

At home in Nashville.

Tell us a bit about your sim racing setup and what games you use.

My sim set up is pretty basic. I have a Logitech G27 wheel and pedals ran through Oculus VR or a Asus monitor and tower. I normally play iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Do you have any favorite ‘chores’ to do around the house?

Right now we are doing fixes and add ons to our home so it’s constant chores. No favorites in particular.

What’s on your current playlist?

I’ve been listening to a lot of Spotify Top 50.

What is your daily driver (or dream street car that you’d like to have one day)?

I’m waiting on an Acura but right now I’m in a Ford F-350.

Who has been your biggest inspiration in the sport?

My biggest inspiration in racing has been Stephen Simpson, Darren Manning, Dario Franchitti, and Scott Dixon.

Is there a track/race still on your ‘bucket list’ that you would like to race one day?

Spa and Mt. Panorama.

What’s the one thing you are most looking forward to the first day you return to a race track?

Getting back around all the crew members and of course getting to drive real cars again.
