T2 Motorsports will make its Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia comeback this year after confirming a full-season campaign with its blue and red Ferrari 488 GT3, featuring ex-Formula 1 driver Rio Haryanto.

The 26-year-old Indonesian,  who raced for Manor in the 2016 F1 season, will contest the entire six-round championship in the team’s Pro-Am lineup alongside David Tjiptobiantoro and Gregory Teo.

Tjiptobiantoro will join Haryanto at Sepang, Buriram, Fuji and Yeongam while Teo will race at Suzuka and Shanghai.

Haryanto made his racing return in last year’s SIC888 endurance race in Shanghai, at the wheel of an Audi R8 LMS GT4 car (pictured above).

“We are excited to be returning to Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia in 2019,” said Teo, who will split his driving duties with managing the team.

“We really enjoyed our first season in the championship when it was still establishing itself as Asia’s leading GT series and then watched on from a distance last year when it really made its mark.

“That’s why we’re back in 2019 with a renewed program and driver lineup that’s capable of scoring victories. Collectively, the package looks very promising indeed.

T2’s Ferrari joins Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche on the list of manufacturers confirmed.

Further entries will be announced in the coming weeks ahead of the opening round at Sepang in April.
