LM Corsa will enter the Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS with a Ferrari 296 GT3 this season.
The Osaka Toyopet-run team announced its plans during last weekend’s Osaka Auto Messe event, where its new car was on display in plain carbon livery.
So far, only Shigekazu Wakisaka – younger brother of SUPER GT legend Juichi – has been confirmed to drive the No. 60 car, with the second driver to be announced later.
Last year Wakisaka shared driving duties with Bronze-rated Kei Nakanishi in a Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo, appearing in all four Japan-based rounds of the series and scoring a best finish of 14th.
The 296 GT3 made two appearances in GT World Challenge Asia with CarGuy Racing, which brought the newer model to Fuji and Okayama but used the old 488 GT3 at Motegi.
LM Corsa’s effort with the 296 GT3 comes in addition to its already-announced program in SUPER GT with a Toyota GR Supra in the GT300 class.
The Dunlop-shod car will continue to be driven by Hiroki Yoshimoto and Shunsuke Kohno, who enter their fifth season as a duo.
