Vincent Abril has left Bentley Motorsport after four years with the brand and is set to embark on “a new adventure” for the upcoming season.

The Monaco-based driver formed part of Bentley’s factory lineup over the last three years and co-drove one of its Continental GT3s with Maxime Soulet and Andy Soucek in 2018.

His final race with the brand was at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, in which he finished sixth and on the lead lap.

“You will forever be a big part of my life,” he wrote in a statement directed at Bentley on Twitter.

“You took a bet on the young kid that I was back in 2015 to make me who I am today, and for that I will forever be grateful.

“I never forget the good people in my life. Thank you for the memories and letting me be myself, for that I wish you all the very best in all aspects.

“I will now embark on a new adventure tomorrow and knowing you got my back means everything.”

Bentley Motorsport director Brian Gush thanked Abril for his time with the brand.

“All at Bentley Motorsport wish Vincent Abril luck and success for the next part of his career,” he said.

“Vince has been a model Bentley Boy, and a great example of our process of moving talented drivers through our customer racing program.

“He has developed into a thoroughly well-rounded driver with significant pace, and we look forward to battling with him on the racetrack.”
