Olivier Beretta set the pace for AF Corse in the Pre-Qualifying session for the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup Paul Ricard 1000km.

His best time was a 1:57.676, in the Ferrari 488 GT3 he shares with Lorenzo Bontempelli and Ishikawa Motoaki, which was still 0.212 seconds slower than the time set by the Scuderia Praha Ferrari in Free Practice.

The No. 28 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi R8 LMS of René Rast, Antonio Garcia and Will Stevens ended the session in second (+0.344s), in front of the championship contending No. 84 HTP Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 (+0.394s).

While Audi and Ferrari dominated Free Practice, there was more variety in the top-ten in the final session of the day, with the No. 19 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3 making it four brands in the top four.

Garage 59 ended the day in P7 with the No. 58 McLaren 650S GT3, while the No. 8 M-Sport Bentley Continental GT3 and No. 99 ROWE Racing BMWs posted the 13th and 15th quickest times respectively.

The session was interrupted once due to the No. 42 CMR Ferrari losing one of its wheels.

No fewer than 23 cars were within 1 second of the top time, while track temperatures were still very high.

Qualifying starts tomorrow at 9:45 a.m. local time.
