Matteo Malucelli posted the quickest time in the Scuderia Praha Ferrari 488 GT3 during Free Practice for Saturday’s Blancpain GT Series Paul Ricard 1000km.
The Italian, who shares the Czech Ferrari with Jiri Pisarik and Stephane Kox, reeled off a 1:57.464, and was 0.682 seconds clear of Frédéric Vervisch’s No. 1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT R8 LMS.
Audi had a strong collective showing at the French track in very hot conditions, occupying positions two to seven at the end of the 90-minute session.
While the top-three was separated by rather large gaps, the time differences further down the field were a lot smaller.
The session was interrupted once at the halfway mark, as the No. 59 Garage 59 McLaren 650S GT3 of Struan Moore spun and had to be recovered.
Earlier this morning, the No. 11 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 of Michal Broniszewski, Andrea Rizolli and Alessandro Bonacini went fastest in the Bronze test, posting a lap time of 1:58.910.
Pre Qualifying gets underway at 5:05 p.m. local time.
