Barwell Motorsport will return to the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup this season, with a pair of Lamborghini Huracan GT3s running in the Pro-Am class.

This will be the Surrey, England-based team’s fourth consecutive season in the series, and it will be looking to build on a third position in 2014 and sixth last year.

“We have a fantastic blend of speed and experience across our two cars, which I’m very happy with,” enthused team principal Mark Lemmer.

“The team is competing in the most competitive Pro-Am series in the world, but we have all of the ingredients in place to mount a strong challenge!”

Leo Machitski returns to Barwell alongside Richard Abra in the No. 78 Lamborghini, and both have several podium finishes with the team in the Blancpain GT Series.

“[I’m] very happy and excited to be back with Barwell Motorsport in Blancpain once again in this exciting new era of GT3 Pro-Am racing,” commented Abra.

“Barwell has established itself as one of the top Lamborghini race teams so I know we will have a good car, leaving the rest down to us!”

Meanwhile, Machitski and Abra will be joined by Portuguese GT veteran Ramos, who made his Barwell debut in December’s Gulf 12 Hours, has plenty of experience to his name, including multiple GT1 race wins.

Three Lamborghini Super Trofeo graduates will co-drive the No. 77 Lamborghini; Adrian Amstutz, Patrick Kujala and Martin Kodric.

Amstutz and Kujala won the Pro-Am class title last season, although both have experience in the GT3-spec Huracan, in the ADAC GT Masters series for Kujala, and 24H Series for Amstutz.

“This season will be my first year in Blancpain, a very tight championship with many good drivers and teams,” added Kujala.

“Together with Barwell we will try to get the best result out of the race weekends. It’s a very exciting year coming up and I am grateful for this opportunity.”

Meanwhile, Croatian youngster Kodric competed in the Super Trofeo Pro class last season, finishing fourth in the standings and taking a race victory at the Nürburgring.

Phil Keen will complete the No. 78 car’s lineup for the Total 24 Hours of Spa in July, while the fourth driver in the No. 77 entry is yet to be decided.
