Marc VDS Tops Morning Session Test Day 24H Spa

The No. 45 Marc VDS Racing BMW Z4 GT3 topped the morning session of the official test day for the Total 24 Hours of Spa.

The car driven by Maxime Martin, Augusto Farfus and Dirk Werner posted a 2:19.034 in the dying minutes of the three-hour session, which was interrupted six times by red flags.

Marc VDS also confirmed the lineup on the No. 46 BMW, with Markus Palttala, Nick Catsburg and Lucas Luhr behind the wheel, the trio ending up sixth fastest (+0.948s).

The No. 63 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini also went on a late charge to end up second (+0.315s), relegating the No. 1 Audi Sport Team WRT Audi R8 to third (+0.555s).

The first generation Audi R8 LMS ultra No. 75 of ISR Racing and the No. 5 Phoenix Audi made it three Audis in the top five.

The No. 18 Black Falcon Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 was the fastest Pro-Am car in seventh during the overcast morning session, with Darryl O’ Young joining the team for Spa.
