Marco Seefried was the fastest driver in a foggy, 20-minute long warmup session at Spa-Francorchamps this morning.
The German GT Corse by Rinaldi driver was the only driver in the 2:20s, completing his fastest lap in 2:20.857.
Second fastest was the No. 16 Boutsen Ginion McLaren MP4-12C GT3, just over two tenths slower than the No. 333 Ferrari 458 Italia.
2013 Spa 24 winners Maximilian Buhk, Maximilian Götz and Jaazeman Jafar ended the session in third place, the No. 86 HTP Motorsport Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 almost four tenths behind the Ferrari.
Forty seven teams completed at least one timed lap in the warmup session. The pole sitting No. 1 Audi was among them and ended the session in eighth place.
ART Grand Prix’ No. 98 McLaren MP4-12C GT3, which was destroyed in the opening practice on Thursday, returned to the track in warmup. Alvaro Parente was back behind the wheel of the McLaren, completing four laps.
The Total 24 Hours of Spa will start at 4.30pm.
