***While there was no on track action on Wednesday, more than 60 GT3 rumbled through the Belgian Ardennes as the participants showed off their cars during the traditional parade. Drivers and team members drove their race cars over public roads from the track to the town center of Spa, where they were on display for the fans.

***A new trophy for the Total 24 Hours of Spa was unveiled during the drivers’ briefing in the Casino at Spa. In the year of the 90th anniversary of the event, Stéphane Ratel wanted to create a trophy that reflects the race’s rich history. The new trophy will be the annual prize for the race winners and, which every previous and future winner’s name engraved on the base.

***Audi will showcase its two most recent 24-hour race winners in the build up to the race on Saturday. The Phoenix Racing-run R8 LMS ultra which won the Nürburgring 24 in a near to identical livery as this weekend’s WRT No. 1 and 2 Audis and the R18 e-tron quattro that won Le Mans, will do a demonstration lap at 3 p.m. local time.

***The No. 100 Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 of Daniel Zampieri, Vyacheslav Maleev, Jose Manuel Perez Aicart and Roman Mavlanov dressed in the SMP Racing colors, won’t be run be the French based squad. Instead, Baporo Motorsport/Russian Bears take care of the entry, the Spanish team usually competes in the International GT Open.

***Live streaming of the blue riband event of the Blancpain Endurance Series will be available as always at http://www.blancpain-gt-series.com/live. Race coverage will run from 16-19h, 20-23h, 8-12h and 13-17h. The Superpole session will also be shown live on the the series website Friday evening at 18h50 local time.
