Barwell Motorsport will field two BMW Z4 GT3s in the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2015, as its Team Russia entry moves over from the European Le Mans Series GTC class to the SRO organized series.

The driver lineup will remain unchanged, as Jonny Cocker, Leo Machitski and Timur Sardarov will enter the Pro-Am Cup after ending up twelfth in last years ELMS GTC standings.

The team cites a slightly fairer Balance of Performance and more favorable rules regarding the composition of driver lineups in the Pro-Am Cup as the main reasons for the switch.

“I am delighted that we will be doubling our attack on the BES Pro-Am title, with the addition of the TRBB BMW Z4 GT3,” Barwell Motorsport Team Principal Mark Lemmer said.

“Leo & Jonny are already stars at this level, and Timur is really developing well as one of the most promising new Gentleman drivers of the GT3 scene!”

Plans for the 24 Hours of Spa will be confirmed at a later date.
