Craig Dolby’s MRS GT Racing Nissan GT-R posted the fastest time in the second practice session for the British round of the Blancpain Sprint Series at Brands Hatch.

The 27-year-old Brit put in a series of fast laps 20 minutes from the end, his quickest time of 1:24.558 remained unbeaten, despite the WRT Audis edging closer on fresh rubber.

Christopher Mies’ No. 2 Audi was 0.1s adrift, followed by Frank Stippler in the sister No. 4 car (+0.171s) and the Pro-Am entered Triple Eight Racing BMW Z4 GT3 of Joe Osborne in fourth (+0.374s).

Once again teams and drivers missed out on some valuable track time, as Laurens Vanthoor crashed the No. 1 WRT Audi at the beginning of the session, resulting in another interruption of 20 minutes.

While the damage at the back-end appeared to be quite serious, the team is hopeful that the No. 1 Audi will be ready for qualifying later today.

RESULTS: Free Practice 2
