After organizers announced an expanded 22-car grid for the for the Blancpain Sprint Series round at Brands Hatch this weekend, the entry list has again been reduced to 20 cars, as both Reiter Engineering and Fortec Motorsport each dropped one of their entries.

ENTRY LIST: Brands Hatch (updated)

The Reiter Engineering-run Lamborghini of  Marc A Hayek and Dutch ace Peter Kox was the very first entry to be confirmed for the series, but won’t take part in this weekend’s second round as the Blancpain CEO is currently ill.

Kox, however, was seen testing at the British track today, not with a Lamborghini, but with a McLaren MP4-12C GT3 in the hands of his fellow countryman Nico Pronk.

Instead, Kox will be testing the Reiter/SaReNi developed Camaro GT3 at the Austrian Red Bull Ring this weekend.

Reiter Engineering will still be present at Brands Hatch though, as it will field a Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 for Tomas Enge and Stefan Rosina.

Fortec Motorsport will also forfeit a car at its home race. The team encountered a big setback at Nogaro when Indian driver Armaan Ebrahim crashed his Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 beyond repair with chassis damage during qualifying.

However, Ebrahim will still compete this weekend, as he will team up with Miguel Toril, whose Nogaro teammate, Nico Bastian will instead be racing a Rowe Racing Mercedes at the fourth VLN round.
