Nicky Catsburg has replaced Yelmer Buurman in the No. 50 HubAuto Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for this weekend’s TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa.

The factory BMW, Corvette and Hyundai driver has been drafted in at the last minute to sub for his fellow Dutchman, who is believed to have tested positive for COVID-19, although not confirmed by the German manufacturer.

Catsburg will share driving duties of the Taiwanese-entered car with Mercedes-AMG factory drivers Maxi Buhk and Maxi Goetz.

He is a former winner of the Belgian endurance classic, having claimed top honors in 2015 in Marc VDS Racing’s BMW Z4 GT3 car.

The Dutchman is expected to get his first laps in the team’s Mercedes in Free Practice 1, which gets underway at 10:50 a.m. local time.
