Garage 59’s pair of McLaren 720 GT3 Evos led the lengthened Friday evening Warmup session for the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

Henrique Chaves posted a lap of 2:18.730 aboard the No. 188 car, 0.048 seconds faster than the sister No. 159 machine in the hands of Marvin Kirchhoefer.

The No. 55 Dinamic GT Huber Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R completed the top three, ahead of the No. 32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 in the hands of Sheldon van der Linde.

The session on Friday evening was lengthened from 30 to 45 minutes and pushed back by over an hour compared to the original schedule after the planned Thursday night practice session was canceled due to heavy rain.

The change was made to allow drivers the opportunity to complete running in darkness head of the race.

Of note, GetSpeed Performance team principal Adam Osieka turned his first laps aboard the No. 75 SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo after he was confirmed as part of the team’s lineup earlier on Thursday evening.

The No. 63 Iron Lynx Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 of Jordan Pepper completed the top five, ahead of the No. 88 Akkodis ASP Team Mercedes-AMG piloted by Raffaele Marciello and the polesitting No. 20 Huber Motorsport Porsche.

The top ten was rounded out by Luca Engstler aboard the No. 17 Scherer Sport PHX Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, Manthey EMA’s Laurens Vanthoor and the No. 777 Mercedes-AMG Team Al Manar entry in the hands of Lucas Auer.

The CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa kicks off Saturday at 4:30 p.m CEST (10:30 a.m. ET).
