The Blancpain GT Series will see more extensive television coverage on the Eurosport network this season. Both the Blancpain Sprint Series and Blancpain Endurance Series will enjoy a combination of live broadcasts and highlight reports, both in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

Fans will have the opportunity to follow the complete Blancpain Sprint Series live on Eurosport in Europe across 54 countries.

The Main Races of the Nogaro, Moscow, Misano and the Baku World Challenge events will be broadcast on Eurosport, while Brands Hatch, Zolder and Algarve get a slot on Eurosport 2. With a 26-minute highlight program on Tuesday after every race weekend and a 52-minute season review, every fan of high-level GT racing will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the exciting Sprint Series.

Blancpain Sprint Series’ fans in 16 countries of the Asia-Pacific region will have even more opportunities to watch the exciting races, since Eurosport Asia-Pacific will show every 26-minute highlight program three times.

The Blancpain Endurance Series get its share of Eurosport broadcasts too. After every race, a 52-minute highlight program will be shown on both Eurosport and Eurosport 2, together with three broadcasts of the highlight programs on Eurosport Asia-Pacific. Obviously, there will be a season review as well.

The Total 24 Hours of Spa – the jewel in the crown of the Blancpain Endurance Series – will have extensive coverage. Both Eurosport and Eurosport 2 will make sure that racing fans will not have to miss a single crucial moment of the endurance classic during the weekend of July 25-26, showing up to 3 hours of live action.

“Part of organizing a great series is to make sure that it enjoys the television coverage it deserves,” said SRO founder and CEO Stephane Ratel. “We find it very important that our numerous fans across the globe get the opportunity to watch our races.

“That is why I am very happy to have concluded an agreement with the Eurosport network who reach 146 million homes across 70 countries, numbers which are very valuable to our teams and partners as well.”

Added Olivier Fisch, managing director of Eurosport Events: “Motorsports is embedded in Eurosport’s DNA. We have extensive experience and a deep understanding in covering these fantastic events. We look forward to bringing all the high octane action to the fans.”
