Italian organization Tresor will field a factory-driven Audi entry in its Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS program with support from Attempto Racing and new primary sponsor Orange 1.

Tresor Competition, led by Ferdinando Geri, is entering three Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo IIs in both the Endurance Cup and the Sprint Cup, with one factory-driven car competing in Pro.

That will be shared by Mattia Drudi, Ricardo Feller and Dennis Marschall in the long-distance races including the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, with Drudi and Feller going on to partner up in Sprint. Drudi is the only member of Tresor’s 2022 Pro lineup to stay on.

Car Collection Motorsport operated Tresor’s GT3 program last year but Geri has switched to long-time Audi operator Attempto full-time for its second season, after trying out the new combination at the Gulf 12 Hours and last month’s Kyalami 9 Hour.

In addition to recruiting Attempto for technical support, Tresor has announced Orange 1 as the title sponsor for its Pro entry in GTWC Europe.

The Italian electric motor manufacturer was previously partnered with Lamborghini but has switched to fellow Volkswagen group brand Audi Sport on a multi-year deal.

The agreement will see the No. 40 Audi compete under the Tresor Orange 1 banner, while the other two Audis in Silver Cup and Bronze Cup will run as Tresor Attempto Racing.

“We are pleased to announce the partnership with Orange1 Holding, which aims to play a leading role in the [GTWC] Endurance Cup, a series where we debuted last year and are now motivated to improve on the positive results achieved in our debut season,” said Geri.

“Thanks to the expertise of Attempto Racing GmbH in managing the car and the great talent of all three drivers, I am sure we will achieve great things.

“Orange1 has a long tradition of racing that we share, and a great ability to stand out.

“We faced two days of testing at Paul Ricard, and the data we collected was very positive, allowing us to approach the race in Monza with the right ambition.”

Orange 1 Holding president Armando Donazzan added: “After seven years of partnership with Lamborghini Squadra Corse, with whom we have won many titles, we have decided to join Audi Sport and Tresor Competition for the next few years.

“This decision is the result of a careful analysis of multiple opportunities.

“We believe that this new collaboration is the best and will allow us to match the incredible results achieved so far.”
