As first revealed by Sportscar365, HTP Motorsport has confirmed it will switch back to Mercedes for the upcoming season, as it sets its sights firmly on the Blancpain GT Series.
Following a single season with the Bentley Continental GT3, which resulted in the Blancpain Sprint Series Drivers’ title, the German squad will field no fewer han four brand new Mercedes-AMG GT3s in 2016.
HTP will focus on the endurance and sprint races of the Blancpain GT Series and the Nürburgring 24 coupled with the VLN Series.
The team had five Bentleys at their disposal in 2015 to run parallel programs in Blancpain and the ADAC GT Masters, though there is no mention of the latter series for the upcoming season.
No drivers have been confirmed so far besides Jazeman Jaafar (Sprint & Endurance).
