Ferrari maintained its position at the top of the times for this weekend’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa in second free practice.

Arthur Leclerc emerged fastest in the 60-minute Free Practice 2 session on Thursday afternoon in the No. 50 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo.

But his 2:18.169 lap was nearly a second slower than Alessio Rovera had managed in the sister No. 51 entry in the cooler temperatures of the morning practice period.

Leclerc, like the majority of the runners in the top ten in FP2, set his time early in the session, but Fabian Schiller jumped to second aboard the No. 17 GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo after approximately 30 minutes.

Schiller’s 2:18.310 time put him between the two factory AF Ferraris, Nicklas Nielsen ending up third in No. 51 on a 2:18.628.

Salman Owega was a late improver in Optimum Motorsport’s No. 5 Silver Cup entry.

The German posted a 2:18.645 in his McLaren 720S GT3 Evo to take fourth.

Malte Ebdrup made it three Ferraris in the top five at the wheel of the No. 71 Selected Car Racing Gold Cup entry run by AF with a 2:18.649 set among the first flurry of fast laps.

Lucas Auer had been third in Winward Racing’s No. 48 Merc with his early 2:18.732 before Owega and Edrup pushed him down to sixth.

Joseph Loake took seventh in the Garage 59 team’s No. 59 Pro class McLaren on a 2:18.749 lap;

Ricardo Feller set a 2:18.879 to end up eighth in Lionspeed GP’s No. 80 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo, just a one hundredth ahead of Rocco Mazzola in the No. 66 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi R8 GT3 Evo II.

The top ten was rounded out by Marvin Dienst in Winward Racing’s No. 67 Bronze Cup entry.

Fastest in Pro-Am in FP2 was the No. 999 GetSpeed Team PCX Merc driven by Marvin Klein, Benjamin Paque, Patrick Charlaix and Jordan Boisson in 14th place overall.

The session was briefly interrupted by a red flag after a coming together with the No. 28 Haas RT Audi and the No. 8 Car Collection Porsche at No Name corner.

Track action for the 24 Hours of Spa resumes at 7:45 p.m. CEST (1:15 p.m. EST) in Belgium with the first round of qualifying from which 32 progress into the shootout scheduled for Friday afternoon.
