The Lionspeed GP Porsche squad heads the 44-strong entry into the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup event at Misano this weekend that marks the opening round for the Bronze Cup competitors.

Ricardo Feller and Bastian Buus lead the top-class Sprint Cup standings going into the event and are looking to add further success at the wheel of the No. 80 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo three weeks after triumphing in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

The pair enjoy a two-point lead at the head of the table after triumphing in the second of the races held at the Brands Hatch opener over two months ago, despite not finishing the first contest.

The other Brands winners, Arthur Leclerc and Thomas Neubauer, sit second on the leaderboard at the wheel of the No. 50 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo having also failed to score in the other race.

The Misano event, meanwhile, finally marks the first Sprint Cup round for the Bronze Cup competitors who were absent from Brands Hatch at the start of May due to the strictly limited capacity around the Kent venue.

Ten crews are entered in the class, headed by the Kessel Racing Ferrari of Dustin Blattner and Dennis Marschall who seek to begin their title defense in style.

Aside from the addition of the Bronze Cup contenders, a notable change on the entry list is Jules Gounon will take the place of the unwell Chris Lulham alongside Dani Juncadella in the No. 3 Verstappen Racing 2 Seas Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.

Also joining the Sprint Cup grid will be Slovenian teenager Mark Kastelic, who will take the place of Loris Cabirou in the No. 54 Silver Cup Dinamic GT Porsche as Cabirou instead moves across to the team’s Bronze Porsche.

There are also two Silver Porsche teams yet to confirm their full lineup: Alex Malykin’s teammate in the No. 9 Pure Rxcing entry is unknown after Alexey Nesov contested the opener, while Simon Birch’s co-driver in the No. 914 Razoon more than racing Porsche has also yet to be revealed following Magnus Gustavsen performing the role at Brands.

Another of the AF Corse Ferraris, the No. 51 machine of Matias Zagazeta and Tommaso Mosca arrives at Misano in the Gold Cup lead after a win and a second so far, which matches the results of the No. 30 WRT BMW M4 GT3 EVO of Ignacio Montenegro and Matisse Lismont that tops the Silver Cup leaderboard.
