MRS GT Racing will return to running McLarens in the Blancpain GT Championship next year, with the German squad having confirmed a two-car McLaren 650S GT3 effort in the Blancpain Endurance Series.

The Karsten Molitor-led team, which withdrew its Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 from Blancpain GT mid-season, will upgrade its existing MP4-12C and purchase a new 650S for 2016.

Molitor said a Blancpain Sprint Series effort is also under consideration, with driver lineups yet to be finalized.

The team will again have a busy season, with plans to take part in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, Porsche Carrera Cup, Creventic’s 24H Series, as well as potentially a return to ADAC GT Masters with its Nissan.

MRS GT is so far the only confirmed McLaren entrant for Blancpain Endurance, with VonRyan Racing ceasing operations due to team owner Dave Ryan’s return to Formula One with Manor.
