Porsche customer squad ROWE Racing has confirmed its driver lineup for this year’s GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup series.

The German team will handle a single Porsche 911 GT3 R in its second season with the car, after fielding two full-term entries in 2019.

Porsche factory driver Dirk Werner has been retained in the lineup, while Julien Andlauer and Klaus Bachler are new editions to the MCG-run ROWE operation.

22-year-old Frenchman Andlauer is a Porsche Young Professional while Bachler was formerly a member of the same junior development scheme from 2012 to 2014.

Andlauer spent 2019 focusing on his Porsche single-make programs, which included finishing third in Supercup and winning the Carrera Cup Deutschland title.

He also won the 1000 Miles of Sebring in the FIA World Endurance Championship’s GTE-Am class with Dempsey-Proton Racing.

Bachler joins ROWE Racing from fellow Porsche customer team Dinamic Motorsport, which won on its GTWC Europe debut in last year’s 3 Hours of Monza season-opener.

Werner and Andlauer tested the No. 99 Porsche at the Nürburgring at the end of May, marking ROWE’s first track action since the coronavirus shutdown.

The team is aiming to build on its third-place finish in the 2019 Endurance Cup standings, which was propelled by a podium result in the Total 24 Hours of Spa.
