The Scuderia Praha Ferrari 488 GT3 of Matteo Malucelli and Jiri Pisarik was quickest in Free Practice for Sunday’s Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup round at Monza.

A 1:47.972 lap time posted by the Czech Ferrari was 0.149s clear of the No. 16 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of Jeroen Bleeekemolen, Mirko Bortolotti and Rolf Ineichen, while the sole Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 of Oman Racing Team completed the top three (+0.356s).

The No. 99 ROWE Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 and No. 1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi R8 LMS, both pace setters at the Misano Sprint opener, ended the session in fifth and sixth, respectively.

There was a little bit of rain halfway through the 90-minute session which made for a damp track, though track conditions quickly got better again as even the sun made an appearance.

The session was interrupted once at the one-hour mark, as the No. 26 Saintéloc Racing Audi came to a halt right before pit entry and had to be recovered.

The No. 42 Classic & Modern Racing Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 had an off right at the start of the session and sustained considerable damage at the front.

Earlier this morning, the No. 11 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 of Michal Broniszewski, Andrea Rizolli and Alessandro Bonacini was quickest in the Bronze test, posting a lap time of 1:48.898.

Pre Qualifying gets underway at 4:25 p.m. local time.

RESULTS: Free Practice
