Van der Steur Expands into GT4 America With Aston Martin

Van der Steur Racing will expand into Pirelli GT4 America competition this year with the addition of an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 entry for Brady Behrman and Coby Shield.

The Maryland-based team, which has competed in the Michelin Pilot Challenge TCR class in recent years, will step up to GT4 competition in both series with the British manufacturer.

Behrman and Shield are confirmed for a full season of GT4 America, which kicks off at Sonoma Raceway in late March. The duo holds previous race experience in International GT with Team Hardpoint in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.

“Excited to announce that I have purchased an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 to go after the GT4 America Pro-Am championship with Coby Shield,” Behrman wrote on social media.

“We had an amazing 2022 and super excited for this next step in sports car racing partnering with Van der Steur Racing.”

Shield added: “I can’t thank Brady enough for this opportunity and I’m stoked to make this jump to pro racing with him.”
