Conquest Racing will expand into the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge with a two-car GTDX entry.

The father-and-son duo of Dave Musial and Dave Musial Jr. will compete in select events in a pair of Ferrari 296 GT3s entered by the Indiana-based squad.

The move marks an expansion of Conquest’s presence in the IMSA paddock, with the team also continuing its WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD effort with Manny Franco and Daniel Serra next year.

The two Musials, meanwhile, both step up to GT3 competition after competing in Ferrari Challenge North America, scoring podium and wins in both Trofeo Pirelli and Trofeo Pirelli Am.

Conquest’s announcement comes just a few days after ST Racing revealed it will join the series with a single-car BMW effort for Samantha Tan.

The VP Racing SportsCar Challenge season kicks off at Daytona International Speedway on Jan. 17-19.
