Colin Braun set the fastest lap in practice for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Northeast Grand Prix, set in the first of two practice sessions at the 1.474-mile Lime Rock Park.

Braun posted a 48.862-second lap in the 90-minute morning practice, which stood as the best time of the day before the one-hour afternoon session.

Braun will share the No. 54 CORE autosport Oreca FLM09, one of seven Prototype Challenge cars entered.

Bruno Junqueira led the afternoon session in the No. 11 RSR Racing Oreca FLM09 at 48.919, as one of three cars within the same tenth.

Renger van der Zande set a 48.953 in the No. 8 Starworks Motorsport Oreca FLM09 in the afternoon, while Conor Daly set a 48.996 in the No. 38 Performance Tech Motorsports Oreca FLM09 in the morning.

Andy Lally was the fastest driver in GT Daytona at 53.536 seconds in the afternoon in the No. 44 Magnus Racing Porsche 911 GT America.

Spencer Pumpelly led the morning session at 53.805 seconds in the morning, in the No. 73 Park Place Motorsports Porsche 911 GT America.

The No. 007 TRG-AMR Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 returned to the track for second practice, with the car turning 44 laps after having a drivetrain issue in the morning.

However the No. 97 Turner Motorsport BMW Z4 GT3 was not out for second practice, and is being repaired off-site after Michael Marsal’s accident in first practice.

Qualifying runs from 5:15 to 5:55 p.m. ET and local time.
