The virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans continues to be led by Rebellion Williams Esport at Hour 18 following a largely uneventful night period in the online event.
Rebellion cars run first and second, with the No. 1 Oreca 07 LMP2 of Polish sim racer Nikodem Wisniewski leading the way with six hours left on the clock.
The sister No. 13 Rebellion closed the gap overnight to the leader from over a minute to 45-seconds, however, Raffaele Marciello managed to extend that back out as the sun rose and handed over to Wisniewski.
Wisniewski holds a 40-second cushion out front with 287 laps completed at the end of 18 hours of racing.
Running third is the No. 4 ByKolles Burst Esport entry which worked its way back into contention overnight following a delayed start to the pole-sitter’s race.
Rebellion’s No. 3 car had been running fourth but lost a chunk of time after an incident with a team car at the Ford Chicane in Hour 17.
Sim racer Jack Keithley t-boned the No. 2 Rebellion of Gustavo Menezes after a spin for the latter, which saw Keithley fall from fourth to sixth.
The incident promoted the 2 Seas Motorsport Oreca of Formula E driver Oliver Rowland to fourth ahead of the fifth-placed No. 24 Veloce Esports machine.
Porsche Esports Team remains well in control of the GTE class amid a dominant run from the No. 93 Porsche 911 RSR with Nick Tandy behind the wheel at the end of Hour 18.
The top four in class has stayed the same since the halfway mark with R8G Esports Team running second courtesy of Erhan Jajovski in the No. 80 Corvette C7.R.
Third is the No. 92 Porsche while Aston Martin Racing is represented in fourth with the No. 95 entry in the hands of Manuel Biancolilla.
Aside from the odd spin for a handful of cars the third quarter of the race was largely uneventful through the graveyard period of the night and into Sunday morning.
Two further retirements came in Hour 12 when the No. 94 Porsche crashed heavily at Karting and the No. 10 Toyota Gazoo Racing Argentina entry speared off the track in the Porsche Curves, bringing the field down to 47 cars.
