Rebellion Williams Esport entries are running 1-2 at the halfway point of the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Swiss squad’s No. 1 Oreca 07 of Louis Deletraz holds command of the race, 1 minute and 11 seconds ahead of the sister No. 13 entry currently being driven by Argentinean touring car star Agustin Canapino.

Both cars, along with the third-placed ByKolles Burst Esport entry and No. 33 2 Seas Motorsport Oreca, have emerged as the leading contenders with 12 hours still to go.

The No. 20 Team Redline Oreca, featuring Formula 1 stars Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, has been officially retired following a series of accidents for the once-leading LMP car.

Verstappen suffered at least two accidents on a single lap in the tenth hour while in the lead, while co-driver Atze Kerhof crashed out of 12th position just a few hours later.

It is so far the only retirement, following the reinstatement of the Fernando Alonso’s FA/RB Allinsports entry after it initially ran out of fuel.

Porsche in Command of GTE

The GTE class has continued to be controlled by Porsche Esports, which holds the first, third and fourth positions at the midpoint.

Sim racer Tommy Ostgaard has put the No. 93 Porsche 911 RSR into a 1 minute and 47-second lead over the No. 80 R8G Esports Team Chevrolet Corvette C7.R, which has rebounded to second.

Porsche Junior Jaxon Evans runs in third, followed by the No. 91 works entry in fourth, with the highest-placed Aston Martin in fifth in the hands of Nicki Thiim.

Gulf Racing’s charge was derailed in the 11th hour when server issues forced the team to reset its entry after running in seventh.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club-backed Porsche now runs 18th in class.
