CarBahn with Peregrine Racing will campaign a BMW M4 GT4 for the remainder of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge rounds, starting with this weekend’s four-hour race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Jeff Westphal and Sean McAlister will drive the No. 39 car alongside Nolan Siegel, who rejoins the team after previously racing with them at the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.
Siegel will pull double duty at the event, as he was also confirmed as part of Jr III Racing’s LMP3 lineup in the WeatherTech Championship round on Tuesday.
CarBahn has an existing relationship with BMW through the distribution of aftermarket parts for the Bavarian marque.
“We’re excited to be adding the BMW M4 GT4 to our lineup this season,” said CarBahn owner Steve Dinan.
“Jeff and Sean have been doing a tremendous job, and we’re confident that we’ll be able to get back to winning ways working with the great people over at BMW for the balance of the season and in the years to come.”
The California-based squad will continue to run the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport at Indianapolis, doubling up to a two-car effort with Brady Golan and Cameron Shields behind the wheel of the No. 93 car.
Sixtteen-year-old Golan will make his sports car racing debut after previously competing in USF Juniors, while Shields scored an LMP3 class podium with Performance Tech Motorsports at the Rolex 24 at Daytona earlier this year.
“We’re very excited about our new partnership with BMW from Indianapolis onward,” said team principal Mark Siegel.
“The new M4 GT4 model has already proven itself to be a strong contender in IMPC, which, paired with Steve’s wealth of experience with BMW, gives us a great opportunity at championship success next season.
“That’s our main priority, and I think this partnership is another step towards achieving that.”
