Two American rising talents in the world of sports car racing, Trent Hindman and Andy Lee, have confirmed rides for the 2016 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season.
Hindman, the 2014 GS class champion with Fall-Line Motorsports, is set for a full season with Bodymotion Racing in its No. 12 Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport in GS.
He replaces the previously announced Rene Villeneuve alongside Cameron Cassels in Bodymotion’s GS class entry.
“It’s been a character building offseason for me to say the least, so I’m just extremely grateful that Cameron, Mike (Bavaro, team principal), and the whole Bodymotion crew are accepting me into their family,” Hindman said.
Bodymotion also announced an ST class entry for Devin Jones and Jason Rabe; that No. 31 Porsche Cayman is pictured above, while the No. 12 GS entry will take on a new livery to debut at Daytona next week.
Meanwhile Lee will be in an ST Porsche Cayman as well, one of the voluminous number in that class. The Arizona resident is a GTS class winner in the Pirelli World Challenge, and will shift to the Continental Tire Challenge this season.
Lee and Kris Wright will share a Goldcrest Motorsports Porsche Cayman (similar car as pictured above, different number and livery to be revealed next week).
Goldcrest runs the Strategic Wealth Racing program in ST, which will run Corey Lewis and Matthew Dicken for their second season together.
“I’ll miss all my friends in PWC but I’m very grateful for this opportunity and excited to get to work next week at Daytona!” Lee wrote in a Facebook post.
