Jesse Lazare has stormed to pole for this evening’s Indianapolis Motor Speedway IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge race, giving the McLaren Artura GT4 its maiden series pole.

The Motorsports In Action driver reeled off a best lap of 1:28.490 in the 15-minute GS qualifying session to outpace the second-placed No. 28 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Stevan McAleer by a considerable 0.841 seconds.

Billy Johnson qualified third in the No. 88 Archangel Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4, followed by Austin McCusker and Kenny Murillo, who completed the top-five for Van der Steur Racing and Murillo Racing, respectively.

TCR pole honors went to the No. 17 Unitronic/JDC-Miller Motorsports Audi RS 3 LMS TCR of Chris Miller, who outpaced four Hyundai Elantra N TCRs.

Miller’s 1:31.076 was 0.139 seconds quicker than the second-placed No. 33 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai of Harry Gottsacker, with Micheal Lewis and Mason Filippi third and fourth in class in the sister BHA entries.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway 240 gets underway at 4:30 p.m. EDT with live coverage on Peacock and IMSA Radio.
