Earl Bamber led the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at the three-hour mark by over six seconds in the No. 31 Action Express Racing Cadillac V-Series.R.
The third full-course yellow of the race was displayed ten minutes after the second restart when Jon Field spun off again at the exit of Turn 7 and made contact with the inside barrier. Field retired his No. 37 Oreca 07 Gibson after the incident.
Loek Hartog brought out the safety car just past the two-hour mark when his Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo slid into the wall out of Turn 6. The Dutchman, in his IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut, had charged up to fourth after starting 11th in GTD Pro before the retirement.
Kaylen Frederick lost a tire on his No. 5 JDC-Miller Motorsports Porsche 963 to bring out another yellow with three-and-a-half hours to go.
The only other entry off the track is the No. 45 Wayne Taylor Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 due a rear toe link issue.
Max Esterson also pulled his No. 59 Team RLL McLaren 720S GT3 Evo into the paddock with a faulty throttle return spring, but returned to the race.

Frederik Vesti fended off a challenge by the No. 93 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06 of Renger van der Zande through GT traffic two hours in.
Kaku Ohta piloted the second-place Acura ahead of Jordan Taylor in the No. 40 Cadillac. The Wayne Taylor Racing driver jumped Laurens Vanthoor and the No. 6 Porsche Penske Motorsport entry in the pit lane.
Jonny Edgar and Toby Sowerey ran first and second in LMP2, for AO Racing and CrowdStrike by APR, respectively.
The class pole-sitting No. 43 Inter Europol Competition entry dropped back to eighth on the most recent restart.
Three LMP2 cars received pit lane penalties in the two hours.
The No. 11 TDS Racing entry was given a drive-through for speeding, the No. 8 Tower Motorsports car improperly entered pit lane and the No. 22 United Autosports machine did not meet the minimum refueling time.
Ben Barnicoat led in GTD Pro for the pole-sitting No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Racing Lexus RC F GT3. Frederic Vervisch ran in second ahead of Connor De Phillippi after his No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO went off in the inner loop on the restart.
The No. 77 AO Racing Porsche was caught out by the Hartog incident. Nick Tandy ran sixth in class after running in second before the yellow.
After his car started on pole, Eduardo Barrichello led the GTD class in the No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo over Benjamin Pedersen and Lorenzo Patrese.
The only GTD drive-through penalty at the halfway point was a pit entry violation against the No. 80 Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.
