CJ Wilson Racing is poised to make its WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut, with the team unloading Wednesday at Sebring with an Acura NSX GT3 for this week’s IMSA-sanctioned test.

As previously reported by Sportscar365, the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge stalwarts had been working on a move to the GT Daytona class with an Acura, for a likely debut in next month’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

The car was spotted in the Sebring paddock this afternoon by multiple people, although the team has yet to make an official announcement confirming its participation.

Drivers for the program have also yet to be announced.

While new to the team, it’s understood the Acura is one of the chassis raced last year by Michael Shank Racing and RealTime Racing.

The manufacturer’s U.S. customer pool has since expanded to include HART for 2018, with CJWR’s entry set to mark the fourth Acura on the GTD grid this season.

Track action for the two-day WeatherTech Championship test kicks off on Thursday.
