Shelby Blackstock will make a guest appearance in this weekend’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America races at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and GT World Challenge America powered by AWS race-winner will pilot the No. 53 Wayne Taylor Racing Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo in the pair of 50-minute races.
Blackstock, who will compete in the Pro class as a solo driver, will not score points per Super Trofeo’s sporting regulations.
The late entry has resulted a confirmed 16-car field for Rounds 5 and 6 of the single-make championship.
It is an identical entry list to last month’s event at Virginia International Raceway, but with Blackstock taking Lance Willsey’s seat in the WTR-run No. 53 Lamborghini.
Following their victory in Race 1 at VIR, Steven Aghakhani and Jacob Eidson have moved into a five-point lead over Change Racing’s Madison Snow in the Pro class championship battle.
Change’s Corey Lewis and McKay Snow, meanwhile, are out front in Pro-Am, 11 points ahead of US RaceTronics driver Leo Lamelas, with Prestige/WTR’s Ashton Harrison and Andrea Amici third in the class standings.
Victor Gomez is the runaway leader in the Am championship while Randy Sellari holds a 11-point edge over Matt Dicken in LB Cup heading into the weekend.
Track action kicks off on Friday with Race 1 taking the green flag Saturday at 8:15 a.m. ET and Race 2 on Sunday at 9:10 a.m. Both races will be streamed at IMSA.com/TVLive with commentary from IMSA Radio.
