Devin Anderson returned to victory lane on Sunday, claiming his second career Mustang Challenge North America victory in the second and final race of the weekend at Mid-Ohio.

Anderson, who started the 45-minute race from second, quickly got around pole-sitter and Saturday race winner Cole Loftsgard at the drop of the green flag and held off the Round 3 Racing driver through the remainder of the race.

The TechSport Racing driver crossed the line 3.819 seconds ahead of Loftsgard, with Will Lucas scoring his second career podium finish in third.

Ethan Low, in his debut Mustang Challenge weekend, finished fourth in the No. 25 Flying Lion Motorsports entry, ahead of Wheelhouse Motorsports driver Sandy Satullo, who completed the top-five.

The repaired No. 3 Spark Performance Ford Mustang Dark Horse R of Nolan Allaer, who had an off-course excursion, finished sixth.

Dark Horse Legends class honors provisionally went to the No. 84 Torre Racing entry of Paolo Salvatore.

Salvatore’s fate, however, rests on a post-race investigation for an incident with the No. 17 Wheelhouse Mustang of Ford Motor Company CEO Jim Farley on Lap 9 that’s set to be investigated.

The Torre driver, who scored his first career DHL win on Saturday, finished 0.405 seconds ahead of the No. 8 Wheelhouse entry of Tom Tait, who takes over the points lead in class.

Joe Dederichs completed the class podium in third, following a battle with Joe Koenig’s Round 3 Racing Mustang.

The No. 9 Paley Motorsport with AAG Racing entry of Chris Clarke spun with 13 minutes to go while battling for the class lead with Salvatore.

Another early race contender, Dave Luaces, spun his No. 37 Birdhouse Racing entry in Turn 1 while running in second in the opening laps.

Both of the Paley Motorsport-supported entries finished one lap down in fifth and sixth in class, respectively.

The race’s only retirement was the No. 21 TechSport Mustang of Colin Harrison, who pitted with issues after completing ten laps.

RESULTS: Race 2
