Tom Tait has been declared the Dark Horse Legends winner in Sunday’s Mustang Challenge North America round at Mid-Ohio after Paolo Salvatore was served a post-race time penalty for an incident with Ford Motor Company CEO Jim Farley.

Salvatorre was given incident responsibility when his No. 84 Torre Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R had contact with the No. 17 Wheelhouse Motorsports entry at the Keyhole, resulting in Farley getting spun around.

The decision was made to review the incident post-race by race control, which decided on a 28-second post-race time penalty, the equivalent of a drive-through.

It gave Tait, in the No. 8 Wheelhouse entry the class win, with Salvatore demoted to second in class.

RESULTS: Race 2 (Updated)
