Dorian Boccolacci has been named Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific’s new selected driver for the 2025 season.

The 26-year-old Frenchman will tackle a GT3-based program in the Asia-Pacific region with the German manufacturer, including plans to appear in “select blue riband races”, while also receiving guidance from Porsche Junior Coach Sacha Maassen.

Boccolacci has mostly raced Porsche machinery since 2021, having previously climbed the single-seater ladder as far as Formula 2 level, competing in Porsche Supercup and winning last year’s Porsche Carrera Cup France title.

This year, he contested a full season of Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup with Porsche customer team Schumacher CLRT, while also making two late-season outings in Fanatec GT Asia for Phantom Global Racing.

“I’m very proud to be the new Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific selected driver for 2025,” commented Boccolacci.

“It’s a great opportunity to further my career and I’m delighted to join the Porsche family. I competed in a few races in Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia at the end of the 2024 season, and it gave me a taste of the amazing atmosphere in the region.

“I want to show everyone what I can do and to reward their trust.”

Boccolacci follows in the footsteps of Alessio Picariello and Yifei Ye in being named as a Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific selected driver.

Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific managing director Alexandre Gibot said he had been impressed by Boccolacci’s performances in the Sepang 12 Hours, where he finished second, and in his two Fanatec GT Asia outings at Okayama and Shanghai.

“We have been keeping our eye on Dorian for a while now as his career in Cup racing and later GT3 racing progressed,” said Gibot.

“When we began scouting throughout this past season for our next Selected Driver, Dorian’s was one of the names on our shortlist thanks to his excellent performances in Europe.

“In March, he delivered a strong performance to finish second in the Sepang 12 Hours with Absolute Racing on his maiden race on Asian soil.

“Then when he came to compete in Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia in Okayama, we were very impressed with his driving, securing a podium on debut. He then backed it up with another great showing in Shanghai, which confirmed his potential, maturity and fit for Porsche.

“In addition to his ability on track, Dorian has already shown us his professionalism and positive qualities away from the race circuit and we are excited to work with him further in 2025.”
