Andy Palmer has resigned from Nissan, having been named the new CEO of Aston Martin.
The 51-year-old Briton, who served as the Japanese manufacturer’s Chief Planning Officer was a driving force behind its entry into LMP1 competition, which was announced earlier this year.
Palmer replaces Ulrich Bez, who left Aston Martin after celebrating his 70th birthday last year.
Nissan, meanwhile, has announced that Philippe Klein will take Palmer’s position within the company beginning on Sept. 15.
